Terms and Conditions

This Rental Agreement (“Agreement”) sets forth the legally binding terms and conditions governing your use of the services provided by Rilox E-Mobility Pvt. Ltd. (“Rilox E-Mobility,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), accessible via riloxemobility.com and associated mobile applications
(“Services”). By using our Services, you agree to comply with all terms outlined herein.

Important:

  • You must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • No cash payments shall be made directly to any individual. All transactions must be processed through approved digital payment methods on the Rilox E-Mobility App.

1. Services Provided:

Rilox E-Mobility offers rental electric scooters (“Scooters”) under various rental plans specified in our App, including:

  • Electric scooters with a specific range per charge, provided with batteries.
  • Swapable Battery solutions and related accessories.
  • Maintenance, repairs, and 24/7 roadside assistance.

Ownership of all scooters remains with Rilox E-Mobility at all times.

2. Fees and Payment:

All rental fees, security deposits, service charges, and repair costs must be paid via the secure digital wallet within our App (“Rilox Wallet”). You must maintain a minimum wallet balance as stated in your rental plan. Failure to maintain the required balance may result in immediate suspension of services.

3. Rider’s Responsibilities:

  • Scooters must be used solely by the registered rider aged 18 or above.
  • Riders must inspect scooters thoroughly before use and immediately report any defects.
  • Riders must return scooters on time and in good condition, except normal wear and tear.
  • Riders bear full liability for any damage, theft, loss, or legal infractions involving scooters during the rental period.

4. Subscription Plans:

  • Subscription details, including fees and durations, are clearly outlined in the App and subject to change.
  • Subscription begins upon successful payment of rental fees and security deposits.
  • Subscriptions may be terminated without refunds for early termination.
  • Security deposits are refundable after deducting applicable charges.

5. Use and Return of Scooters:

  • Scooters must be returned to the designated Rilox Hub at the end of your rental period.
  • Late returns will result in additional fees, including potential scooter immobilization.
  • All scooters and accessories must be returned in the condition they were provided.

6. Prohibited Activities: Riders shall NOT:

  • Allow minors or unlicensed individuals to operate scooters.
  • Ride scooters under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Modify, tamper, or repair scooters through unauthorized personnel.
  • Engage in dangerous activities (e.g., racing, stunts, exceeding 60 km/hr).
  • Violate traffic or safety laws.

7. Liability and Risk Acknowledgment:

  • Scooters and services are provided “as is.” You acknowledge all inherent risks associated with scooter rentals.
  • You release Rilox E-Mobility and associated parties from any liability for damages, injuries, or losses arising from your scooter use.
  • Riders are responsible for all costs resulting from accidents or damage incurred during scooter use.

8. Cancellation and Refund Policy:

  • Cancellation requests must be submitted through the App.
  • Full refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 24 hours of booking, provided the rental period has not commenced.
  • No refunds will be provided after commencement of the rental period.
  • Security deposits will be refunded after deducting any applicable charges or penalties as per this Agreement.
  • Refunds will be credited to your original payment method or Rilox Wallet within 7-10 business days.

9. Termination:

Rilox E-Mobility reserves the right to terminate services immediately and without prior notice for violations of this Agreement or for other operational reasons.

10. Changes to Terms:

We may amend these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after modifications signifies your acceptance of revised terms.

11. Governing Law:

This Agreement is governed by the laws of India, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.

12. Force Majeure:

Rilox E-Mobility shall not be responsible for service disruptions caused by events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, government mandates).

13. Acceptance of Agreement:

By digitally accepting these Terms and Conditions, you confirm:

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You understand and voluntarily agree to these terms without any coercion.
